Next-Generation EMOSFIT Early Warning Technology

EMOSFIT technology is built around a multi-layer detection concept: no single sensor can fully identify every battery failure mode. Instead, Eventually, EMOSFIT would combines thermal behavior, gas signals, aerosol/smog indicators, and system data to provide a more reliable early-warning picture.

Advanced Detection

EMOSFIT start to monitor abnormal thermal rise at first and add the gas release, aerosol/smog presence, and other failure indicators associated with battery cell defects, overheating, internal short circuits, overcharging, and venting.

Alert Escalation

These can be categorized according to severity level from warning, to caution – which is when something early needs attention – and investigation or critical risk that indicates an urgent need for response.

AI Predictive Analytics

Collected sensor and system data can be analyzed to recognize abnormal patterns, calculate risk levels, and support predictive alerts.

Off-Gas and Aerosol/Smog Detection

Think you will see smoke before a fire or explosion starts – wrong ! Battery cells can off-gas vapors and electrolyte mist, well before visible smoke or flame. The EMOSFIT is capable of detecting off-gas and aerosol signals emitted before failure occurs with lithium battery venting event.

Thermal Trend Analysis & Evaluates

The system evaluates the rate of thermal increase and its trend over time. This makes it possible to detect anomalous heating before the battery reaches a point of critical thermal runaway.

Remote Monitoring

The ability to view selected data remotely enables backup monitoring and accelerated reaction for facilities where the expense-to-property value ratio justifies the need.

Typical Battery Failure Progression:

  • Detect or abnormal cell in an internal setting
  • An abuse condition, overheating, or internal short
  • Electrolyte decomposition and gas generation
  • Cell swelling and venting
  • Thermal runaway
  • Fire and/or explosion

Early Warning Inputs:

  • BMS data
  • Off-gas detection
  • Smog/aerosol identiffication
  • Swelling indicators
  • Thermal heat increasing rate
  • Voltage-anomaly detection
  • Micro-vibration and/or thermal camera data (optional)

Our Legacy Background:

EMOSFIT’s earlier battery monitoring experience includes lead-acid battery monitoring devices for industrial fleet equipment. With a strong historical product experience, this also aligns nicely for  EMOSFIT’s high level focus on battery health monitoring and early warning systems.
